Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain a rich product catalog across multiple business areas.
- Contribute to an event-driven Microservice Architecture (200+ services across multiple teams).
- Design, build, run, and scale globally distributed services.
- Develop services using Java 17, Spring Boot, and JOOQ.
- Expose and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring good API design.
- Utilize SNS+SQS and Kafka for event-driven communication.
- Manage PostgreSQL databases via Aurora in a cloud-native environment.
- Deploy services frequently to production using CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Work with ArgoCD, Docker, Terraform, and EKS/Kubernetes to manage infrastructure.
- Monitor services and troubleshoot issues using DataDog, ElasticSearch / Fluentd / Kibana, and Rollbar.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to translate business needs and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Follow best practices for security, testing, and documentation, ensuring reliable integration with third-party providers.
Required Skills:
- Experience building server-side applications with a backend framework like Spring/Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture using SNS+SQS and Kafka.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL (preferably via RDS or Aurora).
- Familiarity with CI/CD principles, Agile development, and modern GitOps practices using ArgoCD.
- Exposure to cloud-native environments, preferably AWS, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Understanding of monitoring and observability using tools like DataDog, ElasticSearch, and Rollbar.
- A security-conscious mindset with a focus on writing well-tested and well-documented software.
